International Wine & Spirit Competition - London
Details: The International Wine & Spirit Competition is an annual wine competition founded in 1969 by the [German/British] oenologist Anton Massel.[1] Each year the competition receives entries from over 80 countries worldwide. The awards given by the competition are considered as high honours in the industry. The event occurs annually in November, in London.

Details
The company rates spirits, wines and beers. It does not accept advertising from any company that submits their products for review. The judging ratings range from 96 to 100 for superlative to 80 and below for not recommended. Jerald O’Kennard, Director of the Beverage Testing Institute, said that 94 is an extremely good score, and unusually high. They use a tasting lab in Chicago. Testing methods minimize external factors and maximize the concentration of the panelist. Taste tests are practically the same time every weekday morning. All of the panelists are professional guest tasters who are retailers, restaurateurs, or prominent writers.

The International Spirits Challenge is the most authoritative, respected and influential spirits competition in the world. The ISC recognises three key areas of the industry: Tasting, Design & Packaging and Marketing.
Now in its 19th year, the ISC is the premier event in promoting outstanding quality spirits from across the globe. The competition is founded on a rigorous and independent judging process, which serves to encourage the high calibre of spirits, designs and campaigns entered into the competition each year. Receiving more than 1,000 entries from nearly 70 countries worldwide makes the ISC a truly global competition. It is supported by most of the world's leading spirits producers as the international standard for quality and excellence.

World Spirit Competition - San Francisco
Details: The 2014 San Francisco World Spirits Competition was held at the distinguished Hotel Nikko in San Francisco from March 20th through the 23rd. This year was the largest in our 14 year history with 1,474 entries. Spirit entries were evaluated by 39 of the finest palates from the spirits industry.
